We started as BrandLens in early 2026 — a brand-monitoring tool for traditional search rankings. About three months in, every founder call we did kept circling back to the same question: “Are we showing up in ChatGPT?”
The answer turned out to be the most actionable data we’d ever surfaced. Agencies were losing pitches because their clients had seen Profound demos and assumed it was now table stakes. But Profound starts at $499/month — unsellable for an SEO agency serving ₹50,000/month retainers.
We pivoted in March 2026. Same team, same infrastructure, sharper focus. The domain hello@brandlens.in still floats around the codebase — we’re owning the lineage instead of pretending it didn’t happen.
